Production Blog: MV
Today me and my group started filming our very first scenes. At first before filming we were having a little debate on who would be acting in it. We all were going back and forth on who would best and really make the vision come to life. After 10 minutes of finding our 'superstar', we all collectively decided to choose Hailey as the person who would be acting.
We all met up and went to a family friend's house. I was behind the camera filming the first scenes of Hailey packing up her stuff to move into the new house. I tried to make sure I was recording as smoothly as possible so the camera could see everything that she was doing. I also recorded putting in a low angle to give it some dimension. The next scene required her to walk out to the house with the boxes, so I started outside and as she came closer I would walk back. Which then turned into me running because I told her to walk faster. Little did I know, I would be in for a workout! But as the camerawoman, I'm dedicated to my job. You will find out how this scene will look in the next few blogs. I have a lot of things up my sleeve!
Moving on, I then did a medium long shot of her actually putting the boxes in the car. In this scene, she lays the boxes out and stacks them. After that, I then did a wide shot of her pulling out the driveway. I had to make sure it was wide enough to see the setting and the car actually moving. We then did a view of the car moving from the inside to show what the girl (Hailey) was actually leaving. I recorded the scenery and the girl's hometown.
This was the last scene that wrapped up our filming day. It was fun and I can't wait to finish it tomorrow!
Take it easy MS crew!
