Production Blog: Final Task

Hey MS crew,

Lets talk about Hailey's scenes! First off, let me just command into really showcasing her talent and dedication. It was clear she had put in the work to nail her role.

The filming process at Hailey's house went surprisingly smoothly. But as expected there were of course some challenges. Especially since we are using technology as our props. One challenge that we faced was setting up the Google Meet call on the computer just right. We had to use Google Meet since we didn't have any MacBook's and Facetime is only on Apple products.

However setting up the Google Meet call wasn't the problem. It was our computers! Hailey's and I's camera was not turning on and working. I was very confused and even a little upset but we had quick solution to use our phones. Using our phones worked perfectly fine and honestly looked a little bit more realistic. Marissa, on the other hand, had no problems because she used her iPad! (wish I thought of that! LOL)

Moving on to the setting which was Hailey's house, served as the perfect backdrop for our final scenes. As Hailey walked into the living room for certain scenes, we experimented with camera angles and lighting to set the right atmosphere. We made sure to include Pan and Tilts as they added the perfect touch. Dark lighting was also used very often, some might even maybe a little too dark! *cue very scary music*

While we were filming, we ended up moving around a lot – from the living room to the hallway and Hailey's bedroom. Hailey's room had most of the dialogue which meant that we spent most of our time in there. Especially since we messed up quite a bit..., but I bet you can't tell that in our final task!

All jokes aside, all the places we filmed got their fair share of action. Each place had its own vibe whether that was spooky, aesthetic, or normal.

Catch ya on the flipside MS crew!
