Production Blog: Final Task

 Hey MS crew,

Creating the final scene for my final task was an intricate and serious undertaking that required meticulous attention to detail. One significant element was the decision to use a real weapon, a knife, to intensify the authenticity of the scene. We initially experimented with adding fake blood to the knife but quickly realized that it wouldn't make sense since we weren't planning to capture the actual killing on camera. But guess what.. we didn't use the real knife after all.

We decided against it because we just wanted to be extra safe with our Final task as it involved a lot of action that could really get someone hurt. We quickly ordered our fake knife and it got there the next day so it didn't deter us from filming.

Our focus shifted towards emphasizing the tension and drama without explicit visual effects. Directing Hailey to move her head in a certain way was crucial for capturing the emotion and tension of the scene. We worked closely with her to ensure that her movements felt genuine and aligned with the narrative.

Additionally, careful consideration was given to the placement of the fake killer, portrayed by Marissa's brother, within the room. .His placement played a significant role in enhancing the suspense and drama of the scene.

As we approached the final stages of filming, there was a mixture of emotions among the team. While there was a sense of sadness knowing that our time together on set was coming to an end, there was also a feeling of relief knowing that we had completed this critical stage of production.

Ending the filming process marked a significant milestone in our journey. It was a moment of accomplishment and pride, knowing that we had successfully captured all the necessary footage. Now, with the filming complete, we could shift our focus to the editing phase and bring our vision to life on screen.

Though the end of filming brought a tinge of sadness, it also brought a sense of anticipation and excitement for the next steps in the creative process. We knew that the hard work and dedication we had invested would soon pay off as we worked to edit and refine our final product.
